Being able to identify talent and match candidates to open jobs is a skill that managers need to learn as they advance. In this session participants will learn how to ask objective questions to assess critical competencies, how to conduct an interview and how to make a job offer.
Everyone sees the world differently. A manager’s ability to see what motivates their team is essential to high performance. In this session we’ll discuss a model for understanding behavior, how to read personality, 4 different workplace motivators, and how to communicate with emotional intelligence by tailoring the message to the audience.
Managers must allocate time between their own individual deliverables and the priorities of their team. An emerging manager needs to learn how to make time for goal-setting, hiring, coaching, performance feedback and delegation. In this session we’ll talk about using of delegation to develop team members and help a manager keep hold of their own calendar.
